Heran is focused on building the next generation of data infrastructure able to meet the demands of AI at scale. Before LakeSail, he worked at Amazon's A9 team on search navigation and query understanding, and at Tencent on search retrieval and ranking. Drawing on nearly a decade of experience at global tech companies, he brings deep expertise in large-scale distributed systems. He holds a master's degree in Computational Data Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's degree in Computer Software from Tsinghua University.
